Tittenhurst Park: Recladding Project – A Case Study

We are so thrilled to be a part of the recladding project for this iconic property – #Tittenhurst Park in Ascot, UK. The residences, which gained fame in the 20th century as the home of John Lennon and Yoko Ono. After that the property was owned by Ringo Starr and his family, and subsequently Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates.

Our team was appointed as the Temporary Works Designers to structurally assess the existing structure during the recladding works

Initially, our team reviewed design codes current at the time of construction to produce loading plan inside and around the existing pool building. However, quickly the team found the loads were not sufficient for what the recladding works needed. To overcome this challenge, the team dived in detailed analysis of structural elements. Identifying the load paths our team managed to provide a solution which involved minimal disturbance of the internal space from propping and spreaders.

We are proud to have delivered the structural package within the approved program, meeting the project’s deadlines. At #KrasenLach, we believe in a collaborative approach with our clients, involving them in the engineering solutions. The team’s attention to detail and ability to find a cost-effective solution without compromising the quality of the work is a testament to our commitment to delivering on our word. It was an honor for us to be part of this iconic property’s history, and we look forward to working on many more such prestigious projects in the future.
